I sure do love chicken wings, but could do without the fat and the deep frying. After a couple of tries and failures, I found a way to make crispy wings in the oven.
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup melted butter
3/4 cup bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 375F
Before I start getting everything ready, I rinse off the wings in a colander and then dry them off with some paper towels.
While the wings are drying, I put together the dry ingridients.
Melt the butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
Once butter is melted, mix together with the dry ingredients.
Before putting the wings into the bread crumb mixture, I dip them quickly in water. (You could use egg or milk).
Put them on a cookie sheet and bake for 50 minutes. Do not turn them or open the oven during this time.
