I always wanted to know how to play the drums; however, my parents did not want to buy me a drum set. I wonder why?

Forgive me, but your post today is hilariously funny to me. As the sister of a drummer who could play the drum solo from Iron Butterfly’s Inagadadavida (youtube it) for hours and hours and hours, I can appreciate your parent’s reticence. My father (a noncustodial parent) gave my brother the drums when he was 12. I like rock music, but drum solos need to be wrapped in the sounds of other instruments.
Thank you for sharing this today.
Thanks 🙂 Now, I understand my parents, but I really wanted to be a drummer. (still do) Txs for stopping by.
